Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S

 

Emily holds a Master of Science in the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works as well as a Master of Arts in the History of Art & Archaeology. Both were earned after four years of study as an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in Library & Archive Conservation at The Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University. 

She has taken courses, completed internships, or worked at the following institutions:

While a fellow at The Conservation Center, Emily took conservation treatment courses on both books and works of art on paper. Her advanced treatment courses as well as her internships focused on the conservation of bound materials. During her time at the MIT Libraries Conservation Laboratory, Emily learned the historic art of letterlocking and thus has knowledge of the proper handling, storage, and treatment of locked letters, which are both two- and three- dimensional.
